He made you believe that anything could happen and he was going to be there to cheer you on. It was a great privilege to know this remarkable man.

I'm proud to call Marty my friend and his work on behalf of AFTRA and SAG and Equity was immense. He helped raise money for AFTRA's scholarship fund by organizing and chairing a benefit at the Waldorf. His company helped establish a pension and Health plan that is still going strong for union performers. So much to thank him for and so many accomplishments in one lifetime. Thank you Marty!

My husband Patrick Knuff an HR VP at Segal and I were so sorry to learn of Marty's passing.
Patrick has had the privilege of working with Mr. Segal and the organization since September 1997.
I personally relate to Mr. Segal's life story.I graduated from FIT's Evening Division with an AAS degree while working fulltime.I was too busy being productive to sit in a classroom. We have always mixed business and pleasure;inviting people to our home to share good food, people, conversation and friendship.
As a "dyed in the wool" New Yorker my love of NYC has been centered around theater and arts that you so generously contributed to.
Last but not least I believe we may have been related as my paternal Grandmother was a Segal spelled Siegel.
May you rest in peace knowing what a marvelous legacy you leave.

Dear friend and mentor, Marty made me feel like family. Ed and I send our love to all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Somehow, we can feel Marty's smile and warmth - - and flower - - from here! Much love, always - Edward and June LeBell Alley
