ROBERT KLEINBERG Obituary

KLEINBERG--Robert. Born in the Bronx, passed away on Fifth Avenue. Stops in between included Mount Vernon, the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), Columbia Law School, Stuy Town, Edgemont & Austerlitz. His near half-century on Wall Street began at the SEC followed by White Weld, Merrill Lynch, Oppenheimer and NFP. Survived by son Andrew (Lakshmi Reddy), daughter Jeanine Cooley (Jack), and grandchildren Cecilia, Jake, Annika and Liliana. Predeceased by his wife Luise. He was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle and cousin, a kind soul, and a mentor to many. Private burial. Memorial Service in celebration of a life well-lived forthcoming.

Bob and Luise both were Jon and my close friends. We together raised our children in Edgemont. And the four of us shared Berkshire experiences and traveled together often. My love goes to all of the family.

First he was my client, then, like many Robert knew, I became his friend of long-standing. Greatly respected and well-rewarded, he gave back again and again and again. He was devoted to his beloved Lu and to his children and grandchildren. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
