S. ABRAHAM Obituary

ABRAHAM--S. Daniel. Yeshiva University mourns the loss of our beloved Honorary Trustee and Benefactor, S. Daniel Abraham, whose visionary leadership and unwavering generosity left an indelible mark on our institution. A passionate advocate for both Jewish and academic education, Mr. Abraham's philanthropy reflected his belief in the power of learning to shape lives and strengthen communities. For nearly four decades as an Honorary Trustee, Mr. Abraham helped advance YU's mission with profound dedication. His contributions include the establishment of the S. Daniel Abraham Israel Program and the Honors Program at Stern College for Women, initiatives that continue to inspire generations of students. In 1997, YU awarded him an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in recognition of his transformative impact. Mr. Abraham's life was guided by purpose, generosity and a deep love for the Jewish people and the State of Israel, and his influence will be felt by current and future generations. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his beloved wife, Ewa, and to his children - Rebecca Gridish, Leah Pinck, Tammy Wolchok, Simi Ganz, Sarah Abraham and Sam Abraham - and their families. May his memory be a blessing, and may the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. Yeshiva University Dr. Ari Berman, President Ira Mitzner, Chairman of the Board
