Dearest Millie and family,
After reading all the beautiful tributes to Billie, two things struck me. The first one being, how many people who wrote commented on Billie's beautiful smile! That was one of the things I also wanted to say. When we were with her just this past November '09, her beautiful smile and sweet, gentle nature were very much present! The second thing that struck me were the references to Billie's goodness and kindness. Just being around her the few times that I was, it was easy to see that she had been raised right and had her priorities where they should be. Her sweetness and gentleness remind me of you, Millie. It is hard to understand why someone so young and dear was taken from us, but as one other person wrote to you, God does not make mistakes and we must trust Him in everything, even when it doesn't make any sense to us. I know Billie is with Christ and she's seeing Emma and Walter and all others who went before. She is at perfect peace! It's we who are left here that miss her and grieve her loss--but one day all of us who love Christ will be united--forever. Christ tells us that in his Word, and we know we can believe it! Alan and I love you and your family so much, Millie. We pray that God will continue to give you strength and peace in your hearts.
Love always,
Sandra and Alan

To Ms Millie...
You know how I admired Billie so for the beautiful woman she was on the inside and out. We than became close friends and started to hang out often. She was the only person other than God to light a fire within my HEART.
I will always remember our heartfelt moments together...

I remember Billie from Day Camp. We actually took swimming lessons at the Tuskegee City Pool (Henderson Park). I was about 5 years old. Billie, always had a smile on her face and was a very sweet and kind person. Those memories from the summer time will always be with me.

Billie was the most humble person that I have ever meet. I don't think she ever forgot a single person that she ever meet. She always knew me when she saw me. She worked with me at Southern Union in the cafeteria when I was manager there, and she was the sweetest work study ever. I loved Billie and I know that she is in a precious place now with my mom. I am so sorry for your loss, it is truley a loss for this world and such a blessing for heaven.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

The Foster Family,

It was a joy and wonderful experience to have Billie as a student at Southern Union State Community College. I was one of her academic advisors and she was involved in different student activities, even going on some of the college field trips. Thank you for sharing Billie with us, a proud college graduate, now earning the Highest Degree, and joining our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

God bless and sincerest sympathy,

I went to elementary and middle school with Billie in Tuskegee Al. & even as a young child she had the most kind heart and pleasant spirit anyone could ever have. I remember in 2nd grade she pulled my name for Christmas and she brought me a bible and an umbrella b/c I had a troubled childhood and she was always very kind and friendly to me. She knew that I walked to school and was always getting wet. I'll never forget that memory. I ran into Billie last year and she greeted me with her big warm smile and a hug and we talked for about an hour outside of a dept. store. I wasn't surprised to see that she still had that same loving spirit. I love you Billie and you will TRULY be missed and know that I am rejoicing b\c you are with our heavenly Father. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family....Mr.& Mrs. Travell and Donna Fitzpatrick
