Funeral service for Timothy Carr, 35, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at St. Mark A.M.E. Church, 4141 Anderson Road, Opelika, AL 36801 with interment in Garden Hills Cemetery, Reverend Jonathan Benton, Sr. will officiate.
Mr. Carr, who passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in Union Springs, AL, was born June 15, 1987 in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The body will lie in repose one hour prior to the services at the church.
He leaves to cherish his memories: parents, Regina and Thomas Preston of Cusseta, AL; five sisters, Tomeika Carr, Latangela Carr, Sufear Carr (Corey Reese) all of Opelika, AL, Naequarius Hughley of Montgomery, AL and Brittney Mennifield of Atlanta, GA; grandmother, Katie Mae Hughley of Opelika, AL; step brother, Leonardo Johnson of Opelika, AL; step sister, Amanda Kindred of Montgomery, AL; god-mother, Shirley Rowell of Waverly, AL; six aunts, Wanda (Gary) Kilgore of Riverdale, GA, Katherine Hughley of Opelika, AL, Fannie (Kurvin) Streeter of Montgomery, AL, Michelle Hughley of Cusseta, AL, Barbara (Curtis) Mennifield and Loretta Allen both of Opelika, AL; one uncle, Donald Preston of Opelika, AL; special great aunt, Pamela Stowe (Charlie) Magby of Opelika, AL; special friends as brothers, Raheen Thomas, Jonas Boyd, Willie Oliver, Samson Logan, Marquez Chatmon and El Drico Avery all of Opelika, AL; host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
