Daniel Norris Obituary
He discovered his artistic soul when he was a teenager, joining the Odessa High School Choir and playing rhythm guitar for a local band called "The Good Guys". He continued strumming guitar his entire life and graced the choir at every church he attended with his soft tenor. During his senior year at OHS, he met his darling wife, Shelia, whom he stayed head over heels in love with for the rest of his days. Dan graduated from Texas Tech University in 1971, and became a licensed architect in 1975. Dan practiced architecture in Texas with distinction. His designs helped shape the City of Odessa as we know it today and formed a lasting memorial to his vision.
Dan traveled around the world with his beautiful wife and family, exploring near and far, but his heart was always in West Texas. His gentle spirit, friendly manner, and easy-going nature placed a smile on the face of everyone who knew him and will live on in our memories. He loved music, the Red Raiders, the Odessa High Bronchos, starry nights, raucous conversation and most of all, the Lord Jesus Christ. He taught us beauty, art, friendship, laughter, and love. Although too early, he passed as he wanted, in the West side oasis of the house he had lived in since childhood, surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his mom and dad, Clifton and Claudeen Norris. Dan is survived by his immediate family: his wife Shelia Norris, his two brothers Mike and Steve Norris, his daughter Bethany Norris Fadel, his two sons Hayden and Zachary Norris, and his grandson Serge Fadel.
A private memorial will be held by the family.

Danny was one of my best friends in school, always Mr. calm, never got excited about things, I am so glad he was a Christian, so we can hang out for eternity together. I miss him here and I'm sure his family misses him but we will all be together with the Lord.

Our hearts are so sad to learn of Danny's passing. We became friends in 1983 when he was one of the architects for our home. It is a joyful place, as unique as the wonderful man who designed it. Always a delight to see him singing in the church choir. A true gentle and beloved soul.

He was a very nice guy. I can still remember him driving up to my house on Orlando and honking on Sunday, then waited patiently for me to wake up and come out to get ride to church. Along with Zach, he had a great family and will be surely missed. Prayers to his family as he is now with his Lord and Savior.

I'm so sorry, Danny was one of my closest friends in high school I know that we will be hanging out eternally, but still hate that he is gone especially for Sheila and the kids, I got to visit with him at the reunion and very grateful for that time
