Josephine Oliverio

Josephine Oliverio, 88, of Washington, passed away on October 22, 2024 at Presbyterian Senior Care, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 18, 1936, a daughter of the late Carl Fritz, Sr. and Sue Fabbiano Fritz who passed away when she was just 6 years old. Josephine graduated from Trinity High School and was a lifelong member of IC Church. She worked at Brockway Glass for 10 years. One day while driving home, her car broke down and a young, good-looking man pulled over in a Penn Dot truck and rescued her. He, Bill Oliverio, Jr., was the love of her life and they married 6 months later. Josephine was a member of the Alpine. She loved Bingo, cards, and gambling and in that order! Surviving is her daughter, Connie (Gaylord) Plants; granddaughters, Brooke and Liana Plants; great- grandchildren, Jayde Alvarez and Lainey Calvert; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are her late husband, Bill Oliverio, Jr. and a sister, Rose Marie Jackson.
