Joshua David Polan, 42, of Washington, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
He was born on June 7, 1981, in Washington, a son of Randy B. and Lori G. Mounts Polan.
A 1999 graduate of McGuffey High School, he went on to earn his associate's degree at college.
On August 22, 2009, he married the love of his life, Ginger Perry, who survives.
Joshua worked as a wealth planner for Success Financial Solutions. He was also very proud that he became the North Franklin Township Supervisor. This was a huge accomplishment for him.
A strong faith in God helped him in all aspects of his life, and he was very active in Claysville Christian Church, where he sang in the choir.
An avid sports fan, Josh enjoyed watching all sports.
Joshua had a zest for life and his smile was infectious, causing everyone around him to feel happy. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Although he had numerous struggles throughout his life, he faced each one with courage, optimism and strength. There was no challenge too big for Josh.
Also surviving are a son, James Timothy Polan; a brother, Jeremy M. (Melissa) Polan, of Washington; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Katherine Bloomfield; nieces and nephews, Bradli, Breslyn, Jack, Ezra, Brighton and numerous additional nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darin Perry, Nathan (Amanda) Perry, Travis (Elizabeth) Perry, Trent (Michelle) Perry and Kyle Bloomfield; aunt and uncle, Ronald and Debbie Gardner, aunt and uncle, Charleen and Ed DiSante, and their daughter, Beka (Tim) Troup; and cousins, Brandon (Amanda) Gardner and Ramona Gardner.
Deceased are his maternal grandparents, Jack and Elna Mounts; and paternal grandparents, Marjorie and Herman Polan.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. the time of service, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

My deepest condolences to Ginger and all the family on the loss of Josh. He was an exceptional person and I always enjoyed seeing him & our conversations. May the Lord comfort you at this time and may he wrap his arms around Josh and lead him into his Kingdom. He will be deeply missed.
