Russell Kuntz Obituary

Russell Hill Kuntz Jr., 93, of Waynesburg, died Friday, August 15, 2025, in Waynesburg. Mr. Kuntz was born May 31, 1932, in Grays Landing, Fayette County, a son of the late Russell Hill Kuntz and Agnes Beattie Kuntz. In July of 1951, Russell married his wife, Nancy, who died in 2022. Russell is survived by children, Harry J. Kuntz (Wilma), Helen Phillips (Lesley), Russell Hill Kuntz III, William E. Kuntz, Bonnie S. Schmitt, Betty J. Lannan, John R. Kuntz (Corbie), and Susan A. Evosirch (Tom); two sisters, Dolores Webb and Myrtle Kuntz; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jonathan Phillips and Anthony W. Kuntz. Russell held various jobs throughout his life, including coal miner, construction worker, welder, and he also worked at the former Rich's Mobile Homes. He was an avid and skilled golfer. Mr. Kuntz requested cremation and there will be no funeral services.
