Tamara Taylor Obituary

Tamara L. Taylor, 75, of Scenery Hill, formerly of Lone Pine, died Monday, December 2, 2024, in the Donnell House Washington. She was born January 7, 1949, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late June Lewis, adopted and raised by her late grandmother Katherine Johnson, who she called Mom. She was a graduate of Waynesburg High School. Tamara worked at the Toot-N-Scoot on Chestnut Street, which later became 7-11, where she worked for many years, including as manager for 13 years. She enjoyed painting, reading, coloring, puzzles, and playing on Facebook. She is survived by her children, Keith Taylor (Marie), Marcie Heinz (David), Jason Taylor (Laurie), Jeremy Taylor; daughter-in-law, Dana Meyers; sister, Kimberly Carter; brother-in-law, Leroy (Sandra) Taylor; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and three nephews. Deceased are her husband, James Donald Taylor, who died in 1991; and a two-year-old daughter, Michelle Taylor. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 7, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington. Burial will be held privately at Greene County Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Washington Area Humane Society.
