Violet Bruno Obituary

Violet Irene Bruno, 86, of Canonsburg, died August 17, 2025. She was born September 5,1938, in Washington. Violet cherished the simple joys of life and the company of those she loved most. She especially treasured time spent with her family and many dear friends. For years, she and her husband enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter, where they made countless memories together. Violet found her greatest happiness in being a grandmother, welcoming her grandchildren for sleepovers filled with laughter, love, and special traditions. She will also be remembered for her love of the holidays, hosting Christmas Day parties at her old home and Christmas Eve parties each year at her daughter and son- in-laws house. Violet's warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Violet is survived by her daughter, Danelle (Donald) Waugh of Chartiers; her grandchildren, Eric, Katelyn and Alex Waugh; brothers, Wayne and Delbert Cage of Washington; and her sister, Sandy Knestrick of Washington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Bruno; brothers, Bill, Homer and Tom Cage; sisters, Colleen Rodgers and Debbie Cox. Arrangements are private and entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, Ltd, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
