Doris Lucille Haltom Wells, age 87 of Kingwood, Texas, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016. She was born October 17, 1928 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Jewel Haltom and Luby Lee who preceded her in death along with her husband, Sherman K. Wells, and daughter, Donna Kaye Vandewater.
Survivors include her daughter, Doris Faye Wells Amy and husband Phil; sisters, Dorothy Hall and Yvonne Griffin; brothers, Jim Haltom and wife Mary Jo, Terry "Butch" Haltom and wife Donna; grand-children, Kimberly Gideon and husband David, Todd Amy and wife Ashlee, Erin Mattingly and husband Zack, and, Julie Vandewater; great grandchildren, Kaylin Christ, Jon-Michael Brown, Mason Gideon, Max Gideon, Brooks Mattingly, Layne Mattingly and Emory Amy; sister-in-law, Dolly Dill and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home. Services will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will be in Richard, Louisiana with a memorial service to be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Doris Faye, I send my most sincere condolences to you and your entire family at this sad time. I was so very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing from Ms. Young. I have so, so many fond memories of Ms. Doris, Mr. Sherman, Donna and you that I so cherish.
