Dorothy Corolla Obituary

Dorothy Louise Wingate Corolla, 93, of Boerne, Texas passed away in her sleep on January 12, 2022.

She was born in Farmersville, Texas on September 19, 1928 and married Frank J. Corolla, Jr. on December 27, 1947 in Liberty, Texas. Dorothy and Frank were happily married for 54 years until Frank's passing in 2002. They started their marriage in the Houston area; then on to Tomball and finally settled in Magnolia. They made many friends wherever they lived.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Patricia Pauler and husband Jim, Brenda Covington and husband Ed, Caren Lorino and husband Michael, Denise Greenwood and Rodney Corolla and wife Rhonda. She is also survived by 17 adoring grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, Jr., son Frank, III, son-in-law, Gary Greenwood and her parents and siblings.

"Nana" will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had an amazing life, having been blessed with experiences that were truly unimaginable for most of us. She loved to travel with family and friends, and there wasn't a game she didn't like.

From the day she married Frank and became an official "Italian", their family grew. A mother of six - she became well known for "Corolla Spaghetti Sundays" where family and friends were always welcome (right after Mass, of course). If you happen to drop in on a special occasion, she would sneak into her 'gift closet' to be sure that you too had a gift to open. She was always thinking of others.

She loved and was loved by everyone she met and will be missed by many. We are not saying goodbye; but we do ponder how lucky we were to have been a part of her world - an experience that makes saying goodbye so hard. We love you Mother.

The family has decided that there will be no public service and asks that prayers continue for Dorothy and the Family in lieu of flowers. A donation to The Dementia Society of America (DSA) or to your favorite charity in Dorothy's name would also be a treasured gift.
