Glen Guillory, 71, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. He was born on February 2, 1946 in Mamou, Louisiana to Savio Guillory and Aline Deshotel Guillory. Glen married his wife Helen Cook Guillory and together they were married for over 40 years. He retired after working many years as a Master Machinist for Armco Steel and Reliant Energy. Glen was an avid gardener and was great at growing tomato plants. He had a big heart and loved his grandchildren and the outdoors. Glen was known for standing up in what he believed in and that his way was the right way. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ethel Guillory and husband, Dalbus, Bernella Guillory Marcott and husband Everest; brother, Melvin Guillory; and brother-in-law, Edward Leger.
Glen is survived by his beloved wife Helen Cook Guillory; daughter, Kim Guillory Summersill and husband Shane; grandson, Triston Summersill; granddaughter, Trinity Summersill; brother, Don Guillory and wife Mary; sisters, Hazel Guillory Leger, Wilda Guillory Chamberlain and husband Roy; many nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a 7:00 pm rosary at Sterling-White Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 915 Runneburg, Crosby, TX. Interment to follow in Sterling-White Cemetery.
