Howard Hartley Obituary

Howard Walter Hartley, Jr. of Spring, Texas, passed away July 9, 2021, after a lengthy battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born November 6, 1955 in Batavia, New York, a son of the late Mary and Howard Hartley, Sr.

He was raised in Western New York, where he graduated from Elba Central School in 1974, and ultimately settled in Texas in 1978. He was an avid sports and music enthusiast, particularly a lifelong fan of the Buffalo Bills. He often displayed a natural inclination for all things culinary by taking creative liberties with new and familiar recipes alike.

Howard is survived by his wife, Laurel; son, Matthew; daughter, Margo; granddaughter, Annabelle; siblings: Susan (Bart) Dambra, Paul Hartley, Gorman (Pam) Hartley, Mary Balonek, Peter Hartley, Ann (Joe) Zawicki, and Eileen (Steve) Vincent; sister-in-law, Gretchen (Charley) Duffy; brother-in-law, James (Darcy) Catino; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Hartley; and sister, Kathleen Catino.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been established for Annabelle Shutter-Hartley's future education. Memorial contributions can be made at https://go.fidelity.com/n46ajz. (To be directed to link, highlight link and right click)
