age 54, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2017. He was born on February 14, 1963 in Houston, Texas. He was a lab technician with the Huntsman Corporation for the past 28 years, where he served on the High Angle Rescue Team as a trainer, was a CPR and first aid trainer, ECA trained, a member of the Fire Brigade and Safety Audit team. James was also a member of the East Texas Outlaws and founding member of the Northside Street Cars.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Drake; father, Donald Irwin; and his grandmother, Liz Hulsey. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Kathy Irwin; children, John Irwin, Amy Irwin and Taylor Irwin; sisters, Rebecca Coker and Tess Horton; and brother, Keith Drake.
Friends are invited to visit with the family starting at 12 Noon on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Northside Baptist Church, 701 North FM3083West, Conroe, Texas 77303, where at 1 pm funeral service will follow. Graveside services and burial will also follow in the Security Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. James was great guy with great stories. I had the pleasure of seeing him recently with a group of other great friends from the old Conroe Exxon hangout days. He will be missed and I hope everyone can find peace in the memories and friendships he made along the way.
