Jeanne Broussard Obituary

Jeanne Cecilia Broussard, 79 of Pasadena, Texas passed away at Park Manor of South Belt in Houston on Saturday, July 10, 2021. She was born December 29, 1941 in Cottonport, LA to Jules and Norma (Juneau) Scallan. She was a very giving and caring lady; proud of her family especially her granddaughters; she always had a drive to obtain knowledge; she was already smart but wanted to know how things worked; she enjoyed her work as a Geologist assistant. She was a former member of St. Mary's in La Porte and attended when she was able.

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, John Broussard; her son, John Broussard, Jr. and wife, Melinda; granddaughters, Sarah Broussard and Randy Singler; Emily Broussard and Seth Casey; her sister, Lillian Hughes; sister-in-law, Elaine Thibodeaux; nieces, Lisa Duvail and husband, Anthony; Donna Smith; and Heather Cowan; nephews, Jeff Thibodeaux and wife, Maria, and Shawn Halpin. She is also survived by great nieces, Megan Cowan and Riley Cowan; great nephews, John and Arthur Thibodeaux. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jules and Norma Scallan. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, July 16, 2021 at Grand View Funeral Home with burial following at Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm also at Grand View Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be John Broussard, Jr., Jiff Thibodeaux, Anthony Duvail, Randy Singler, Seth Casey and Junior Wilkerson.
