Mary Longstreth Mahone left this life on the morning of April 6th, 2015 after a fierce and courageous five year battle with breast cancer. Mary was raised in Zanesville, Ohio, where she was a 1967 graduate of Bishop Rosecrans High School and then attended Saint Mary of The Springs College in Columbus, Ohio. There she met Tom, her husband of 44 years. They settled in Kingwood, TX in 1987. Mary is survived by her loving husband, the two wonderful children that she and Tom raised; Tom (married to Elisa Hart) of Houston and Lindsey (Married to Austin Krumrine) of Hockley, TX. She was the proud "Grandmare" of three beautiful girls, Camryn, Rylan and Finnley Mahone. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Margaret and Ralph Longstreth, her brother Jim Longstreth, her twin brother John Longstreth and her nephew Ryan Longstreth. She was an avid and competitive tennis player in the Kingwood and Atascocita areas, and played on a USTA mixed doubles national championship team. Mary had a long and productive career assisting in oral and maxillofacial surgery. She enjoyed watching tennis and golf as well as Texas Aggie and Ohio State Buckeye football. She made friends wherever she went. She truly loved all of her friends, co-workers, patients, and family. Mary will be deeply missed and celebrated by all that knew her. No funeral services are scheduled but the family will host a memorial celebration of her life on Saturday April 25, 2015 from 1PM to 4PM atThe Overlook,20114 Pinehurst Dr. Atascocita, TX 77346. If you knew Mary you know she would want this to be a casual, comfortable gathering. In lieu of flowers or condolences, donations may be made in her honor to Golfers Against Cancer (www.golfersagainstcancer.org), an organization that is near and dear to Mary and her family.
