Max William Lovell, age 80, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 13, 2016. He was born in Salladasburg, Pennsylvania on July 21, 1936 to Florence Lovell and Donald Watson Lovell. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He was a hardworking, loving, happy and kind hearted positive person who will always be loved and missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Earl Boring. Max is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Catherine Lovell; his children, Leslie Sump, Ellen Faughn, Danny Lovell and Ann Boring; his brother, Dave Lovell (and wife, Janice); his brother-in-law, Dan Collins (and wife, Marthilyn) and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Gabriel and Ludwig VonLetscher, Christine and Gregory Sump, Zach and Hannah Boring and Max Lovell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Saturday December 17, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., followed by services in Sterling-White Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Sterling-White Cemetery.
