Nelta Ewing Weeks, age 79 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016. She was born October 9, 1936 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Marvin and Annie Furguson who preceded her in death along with her husband, John Dudley Ewing; and siblings, Joe Furguson, Clifton Furguson, Ann Dominey and Viola Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Burton Wayne Weeks; daughters, Bobbie Nell Ewing Kelley and husband Roger, Johnnie Marlene Ewing Rutter and husband Ken; sons, David Dudley Ewing and wife Monica, Roland Jay Ewing and wife Kathy; sisters, Mary Francis "Frank" Foy and Lillie Jeanene Lilley; brothers, Marvin Dennis "Jack" Furguson and wife Mary, Martin Luther "Pick" Furguson; grandchildren, Stephanie Gardner, Christina Garrett, Brittany Holmes, Tommy Braune, Sonya Sullivan, Nicole Gaither, Kayli Chaffin, Dylan Ewing, Thomas Stone, Jay Ewing, Jeremy Ewing, Crystal Mullens and Jonathan Ewing; forty-two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Services were held on August 1, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment followed at Oak Shade Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
