Ralph Hill Guin, 77, of Cleveland, Texas, went home to be with his Lord after a long battle with cancer. He passed away on May 30, 2017, at his Cleveland home with his family by his side. He was born on September 6, 1939, in Campti, Louisiana, where he also had a home on his beloved Black Lake.
Ralph was extremely proud of being a veteran of the US Navy, a long-time grass roots construction manager of Brown and Root in locations including Venezuela, Syria, Abu Dhabi, Greece, Libya. He was also a successful business owner with RH Trailer Sales becoming an award-winning #1 dealer in the world for a major trailer manufacturer. Additionally, he enjoyed camping, fishing, ATV trail riding, farming, gardening, visiting with friends and family as well as southern cooking. Those close to Ralph knew that he also enjoyed being Kisatchie Fire Master, cracking one-liners, and supervising all.
Ralph was baptized as a young child at Westside Baptist Church of Natchitoches, Louisiana, where he was a member until moving his letter to his current church, Central Baptist Church of Cleveland, Texas, where he has received much support, prayers, and friendship over the last year from the entire congregation, with special acknowledgement to Bill, Pete, Dick and Art.
Ralph is survived by Ann Guin; son Trey Guin and wife Lisa; grandchildren Mason Guin and wife Stefanie and Peyton Guin; brother Thomas Guin and Dale Morgan; sister Audrey Bailey and husband Jerry; life-long friends James Hearron and Brenda Elzy, Benny O'Brien and wife Jean, Jim Whitten and wife Judi, Doug Revels and Darlene Egan; Bob Benson and wife Jan; aunts Jimmy Wynn, Barbara Laprarie, and Sarah Sweetin; uncle Joe Achord; many cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends, including his special buddy, Taylor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maudie and Tom Guin and his sister, Glenda Joy Guin.
Those honored to be his pallbearers will be Mason Guin, Lee Bailey, Clair Fair, George Guin, Heath Brown, and Troy Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Guin and Willy Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 on Saturday, June 03, 2017, at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, Louisiana with Rev. Mike Honzell officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:30 on Friday, June 02, 2017, at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home.

My late husband, George Boyd, & I had some great times with Ralph, & many, many laughs! When they made Ralph they threw away the mold. My prayers & thoughts go out to his family at this time.
