Robert Rodreick Obituary

There is a new voice in the Heavenly Choir. Robert Merle Rodreick was born in Eaton, Colorado 12-2-1926, the first born of Mary (Springston) and Merle Rodreick. He died in Galveston, Texas on 2-23-2021. After serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII he moved to California where he met and married Margaret (Peggy) Parker. In the early 1970s he established his own consulting firm which he operated in Massachusetts, Michigan and Texas. His entire business career, which spanned five decades, was devoted to helping credit unions grow. In Texas, he and a group of friends formed the Panorama PEP Band, "playing and singing the GREAT swing ballads and novelty tunes of yesteryear." When they disbanded he became the lead singer for the Happy Strings Ukulele Band in Conroe. Bob loved to sing.

Bob was dearly loved and will be missed beyond words by his survivors: His five children, Patricia, Timothy, Kathy (Harvey), Colleen (Dan) and James (Sheryl), 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, brother Jack and ex-wife, Stella. He is predeceased by his parents, infant son Tommy, grandson Charles and sister Pat. Bob requested that his body be donated to a medical school for teaching purposes. The family wishes to thank Walter of Resolutions Hospice for his tender end of life care. A memorial for family members will be held this summer. The family has requested that donations be sent to your local Alzheimer's Association.
