Timothy Louis Brown, 75, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018. Tim was born on December 17, 1942 in Schenectady, New York to Burdette and Eleanor "Lee" Brown. Loved by family and friends, Tim will be greatly missed and remembered for his love of family, generosity of time, big heart, and great story telling.
Tim graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and the GE Apprentice Program in Schenectady. Tim worked for GE for 35 years in their Large Steam Turbine Department in Schenectady and at the GE Service Shop in Houston. Tim became an expert in large turbine maintenance projects at power plants in the Houston area. After retiring from GE, Tim worked for many years at Carter's Country and won many sales contests with his down home gift of gab and sales personality.
Tim was very active in his church, Atascocita Presbyterian Church, and served on the Facilities Committee and as chief cook and organizer of the Men's Group Breakfast.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Connie, son Scott and his wife Melody, of Springhill, Tennessee and daughter Camie Tews of Humble, Texas along with grandchildren Emily, Jordan, Lindsey, Addison, and Connor. Tim is also survived by his brother, Tom Brown of Spring, Texas, his niece Amy Burant of Denver, Colorado, and nephew Michael Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina along with their spouses and children. Tim is also survived by Connie's sister, Linda Berbert and his nephew Todd, of Gainesville, Georgia.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 4 pm at Atascocita Presbyterian Church, 19426 Atasca Oaks Drive, Humble, Texas 77346 with Rev. Jacqueline Hannan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tim's memory to Atascocita Presbyterian Church.
