On February 21st, 1928, God gave us a most loving, kind and gentle mother, grandmother and person.
For that we are eternally grateful. On January 25th, 2016, God took his most loving Angel, Verlean Clara Meyer "Grandma" Carr to be with him. She was a giver, not a taker, and always there to comfort. God chose well. With sincere love and appreciation, her family and friends wish her soul Godspeed. She truly made our world a better place.
Verlean was preceded in death by her parents Otto and Mary Meyer, her only spouse, Albert P. Carr, her oldest child, Robert L. Carr, and her Great Grandson, Mason A. Black. She leaves behind her 2 remaining children and their spouses: Peggy J. Black (and Laurin Q), Michael R. Carr (and Barbara B); her 5 Grandchildren, R. Kevin Black (and Brandi C), Melissa A. Black (and Amy L), Joelle R. Jones, Travis M. Carr (and Sara E), and Tyler R. Carr (and Allison M); and her 7 remaining Great Grandchildren, Savannah R., Whitney A., and Sidney T. Jones; Isabella G. and Jackson R. Black; Ashlee B. and Devan J. Warren, as well
as 2 Great Great Grandchildren, Maverick A. and Maisy T. Jones. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Rosewood Funeral Home Chapel and Memorial Park.

My deepest condolences to the family. No words can ever express the loss of a loved one. May all of you find comfort and peace in all the loving memories you've shared together of your mother and grandmother. Please lean on God for comfort during this most difficult time because not only does he understands your grief and pain, He cares very deeply for you. (1 Peter 5:6,7)
