Verlie Mae McFadyen, 08/06/1934, the matriarch of a family who loved her dearly, went to be with her Lord & Savior and her beloved husband on 3/12/2016. She is survived by her daughter, Denice McFadyen, daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Tommy Brooks; granddaughter, Amber Lagow, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Brandi and Jamie Cruse, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Britni and Jason Layton, and grandson Dustin McCrory and his girlfriend Christina Mann; and seven great grandchildren, Gavin and Gunnar Lagow, Daxon and Ryker Cruse, Brilyn and Brinna Layton and Garret McCrory. She was a beautiful woman with a heart and soul as pure as gold, the absolute salt of the east, and will never be forgotten. Her life will be celebrated during a private memorial service at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas 77562.
