I´m sorry I´m so late sending this but I just now found out about Wayne Robbins passing. I´m Sheryl Spradley Cole, stepdaughter of Lawrence (Tom) Duly, who used to work as parts manager at Robbins Chevrolet starting in 1971. I only met Wayne a time or two but I went to school with his son, Bob. Wayne was very good to my stepdad, even when he didn´t have reason to be and that says a lot about his character. I know this is almost 7 years late, but I still want to extend my condolences to Bob and the rest of the Robbins family.

We had so much fun and so many memories with Wayne. We were next door neighbors with Wayne from the early 80's to 90's at Lake Livingston. So many memories, one time my husband (Steve) was working on a ford truck we had (it was pretty but always trouble) when Wayne drove up. Of course being the character he was Wayne came over and gave him a hard time for driving a ford. He gave Steve the keys to his beautiful red suburban and told him to take it for a ride. We did and then he offered to sell it to us. We ended buying his beautiful red suburban and I don't believe there was another out there any prettier. We had so much fun with Wayne and Dale Taylor (Papa). They would tell stories about each other or things they had done. We were always laughing. Wayne was always a very generous and thoughtful man. He definitely was a true fishermen and was up before the sun out there fishing. You couldn't have had a better neighbor.
Rest in Peace Wayne

Far too many memories to write but a great friend and fishing partner for too many years to count. Our escapades are almost legendary and most were fun. From the Humble Hawg Dawg cooking team to a motor home that seemed to be a one way trip many times. Will miss him greatly. At 88, he had a great run.

I remember Mr. Wayne buying my blackberries as a child. I knew no matter how many I picked he would reach into his pocket and gratefully accept them. His generosity and sincere heart always will be remembered by me. He came into my life at a very young age and although I haven't seen him in years I know I will miss his smiling face and kindness.
