I was hired by Bill back in 1981 when they had there small B & L plumbing shop in Houston and also knew his friend Ron. I did not work for him a long time but in that short time I became friends with them both. Ron and I both rode Harley Davidson Motorcycles and it wasn't long before before he also had one. He was a great person and I am sure he will be dearly missed by all of you

Just heard the news of Bill’s passing. We first met when doing the interior design on his home on the lake and came to realize we were neighbors with both of our business properties. Bill became a friend and someone I could ask for opinions and guidance in business matters. He will truly be missed and prayers are with all of his family.

My husband Steve and I knew Bill from TOPPS, Tiger Run, and as a next door neighbor on the lake. He was always a laid back and easy going guy but we knew we could count on him if we needed him. He was there for us during a particularly tough time and I will always be grateful for that. Prayers and love to his family.

In reflecting back, I believe that Bill and I have known each other since 1995? Bill was always full of conversation and laughter. He had his prominent New York accent and unique way of expressing himself. Bill was always very kind and accepting to me and treated me well. While Bill was taken from us all too soon, “Bill Collora Was Larger Than Life”. He will be remembered and missed by all.

He was always so kind and supported me and Lily in whatever we did together. He was a great role model and would always offer me the best life advice. So grateful for spending majority of this past summer with Lily and him whether it was the boat rides or business talks. I am forever thankful for the long summer nights and dinners spent at his house. So blessed I am able to say he’s my best friends father.

I remember Billy well. Once, in Spring, Texas while I worked for him a short time, he wanted an old chicken coop taken down on his property. The roof at one point was flat on the ground and several days later, when his other workers lifted it, they found a snake under it. Billy ran to get his shotgun and when his buddies lifted the roof again, Billy took aim. But he didn't shoot it! Billy forgot to bring shotgun shells! A funny memory I have of him for sure!
Rest in peace Billy!

Billy and I went to high school together. I never knew anyone with a kinder heart or freer spirit. Reconnected in Houston on a couple of occasions over the years and always had a great time. My condolences to his family, he went too soon. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed.

I’ve known Bill for probably 30 plus years.
He was just starting out in the plumbing business in Spring.
Even though I’ve not seen him in recent years I do remember his gregarious personality, kind heart and love of life.
When I last saw him it was at the Woodlands Mall and he was with his 2 young daughters proudly buying them shoes.
All he could talk about was his 2 girls...and the you could see the glow in him.
It’s really sad that his kids, grandkids and other extended family won’t have him here on earth.
Bill had a heart of gold and I’m sure that he liked to take care of people..especially family.
He will be missed

I am so sad about the passing of my friend Bill Collera. He was an amazing man who always had a smile in his face and a great story to tell. He was generous with his knowledge, always sharing his investment strategies...that's why we called him "Gold" Bill. Most of all, i will miss his heart of Gold! My prayers go out to his family...who he loved dearly! You will be missed!
