Blanche Dudo Obituary

Blanche "Iris" Walker (Adrian) Dudo

Blanche "Iris" Walker (Adrian) Dudo, 82, left this earthly life to meet her Lord and Savior in Heaven on January 25, 2016.

Iris was the youngest of seven children, born to the late Roy and Melva Walker. She was born in Wells Township. Ohio. She graduated from Smithfield High School in 1951, where she played the cymbals in their marching band. Soon after graduation, she pursued a job at The Scio Pottery where she met her late husband, Joseph Adrian. They moved to Akron after the birth of their three children. Iris lived most of her life in Akron and spent 12 years in Sarasota, Florida, moving back to Akron in the early 1990's.

Iris had a smile that would light up an entire room. She was a ray of sunshine when there was no sun. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, painting, and listening to Country and Gospel music, but most of all she loved dancing. Her greatest gift of all was her exceedingly generous and selfless heart.

She will be sadly missed by her four children, Michael Adrian (Michelle Keesey), Renee' Adrian, Terri (Adrian) Robinson, and Jason Dudo.

Left behind to remember Iris are her brother, Richard Walker (Cornell) and sister, Beverly June Young. She also leaves behind her nine grandchildren, Michelle Nussen (Josh Balazs), David Nussen (Becca), Matthew Nussen, Joseph Adrian (Debbie), Quinton Robinson, Brittany and Ashley Dudo, and one great-grandchild, Joseph Adrian, Jr., as well as many other family members and friends. She held a special place in her heart for her late grandson, Brian Adrian.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life/Memorial Service, to be conducted by Pastor Joe Pryor, will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Northhampton Bible Church (333 W. Steels Corners Road, Cuyahoga Falls). The family will greet those attending starting at 10:30 a.m., with service beginning at 11 a.m. Her final resting place will be at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates in May.

A special thanks to the Staff of National Church Residences Nursing Center, where she resided for the past four years.

~~ "When you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance."

I want you to know how sorry I'am for your loss.Your Mom was one of a kind and will be missed by so many. There is a line in a song that reads "I believe there are angels among us" and by knowing your Mom I know this is true. She was so unselfish and giving. She had an amazing way of overcoming life's obstacles and moving on. Her smile, appreciation of life and spirituality were contagious. Always remember I'm here for you if you need anything.
Love, Marian
