Dave was more than a neighbor, more than a friend, more than family. Dave was always there to lend a hand, give advice, or just to visit with. Dave gave so much, and asked for nothing, in fact he often refused help, he was very proud, independent, and very careing. When he bought this last car (even though he always drove a truck), he did it with the thoughts of it being driven by his daughter, Barbara, so she and her children would have good dependable transportation. Dave was all giving, always thinking of others, and for these reasons, among others, I'm so very proud to have known him as a neighbor, but more importantly, as my best friend!

You never seemed to want anything but the simple needs in life. You always were there when a helping hand was needed, and most of the time just happy with a "Thank You" or a cold Coke! I really appreciated the way you watched out for Mom, Dad & Bess, no matter what was needed. I sent you a get well soon card, but you never got to read it, so I'll just say, "Thank You Uncle Dave". You'll be missed and God Bless you.

While on vacation I received the news that Uncle Dave had passed on. He was a friend to everyone and liked to do things for others. My Father, Bob, Dave's brother recently passed. Dave was there and gave me a lot of support. This is even more of a shock to me. Yes he can rest now, while the rest of us stop by and water the flowers at the cemetary. Rest peacefully, you will forever be in my heart and mind.

I was very saddened and shocked to hear that Uncle Dave had passed away. I will always remember all the fun times our family had with him, when I was growing up. Uncle Dave was always a giving, caring person, always there to help anyone. I remember every Sunday morning, he would show up at my Dad's with the newspaper, and to visit with my Dad. He will be deeply missed by everyone. Rest in peace Uncle Dave, you deserve the rest. Love, Robin

No words can ever describe how much I'm going to miss my brother. Dave was my big brother who was always there for me,when I was little,a teen-ager and when I became an adult. Some of the times I will remember the most was when we talked about when we were young, about our Mom and Dad or when he would stop by for a coke and just to talk to Denny and myself. To his friends, he was a Special Friend who will be sadly missed. We all should feel honored to have known him. I love my brother and I will miss him.I know that he loved me his baby sister(as he called me)May he reast in peace!!! Love,Nancy

It's hard to believe that you won't be dropping by for a visit anymore. You will be deeply missed, more than you could ever imagine. You'd give the shirt off your back to help someone, and I'll always admire that about you. You'll be in my thougths as I plant my tomato garden this year, those plants you got last year were the best. I'll always smile when I remember what you tought me about the basic rules of plumbing:

#1 The Boss is an SOB.

#2 Payday is Friday.

#3 Sewage won't flow uphill.

#4 If you want it to flow uphill, you need a pump.

I'll always be glad to call you my Uncle. Rest in Peace, you've earned it.
