Deborah Cantrell Obituary
Debbi was born in Akron and lived on North Hill most of her life. She was a faithful member of the Blessed Trinity Parish where she taught P.S.R., actively volunteered and was dedicated to their youth group program. She graduated from North High School in 1985 and worked for the Summit County Public Library. Debbi was a very confident woman with a quick whit about her who loved to spend time with her family.
Debbi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gertrude and Martin Fitzpatrick and Marie and George Watts; aunt, Maryann Fitzpatrick; and uncle, David Watts. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Jim; children, Erica and Andrew; parents, Terry and Peggy Fitzpatrick; sisters, Carey (Rick) Flanders and Laura (David) Hall; and niece and nephew, Daniella and Evan Flanders.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Church, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron, Ohio 44310. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Debbi's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blessed Trinity Memorial Fund. You are invited to hennessy-bagnoli.com and view Debbi's tribute wall, offer condolences and share memories.

When our son Joey and Andrew became friends we received the bonus gift of becoming friends with Debbi, Jim and Erica. We have been blessed to know such a solidly grounded, fun, and wise lady. We are thankful for her ability to question the “norm”, her love of simple living, her refreshing honesty, her ability to make sure friends got together, and her delicious cookies. I respect Debbi for making faith alive in her actions, raising two talented, well-rounded, generous kids, her desire to keep the “norm” when cancer entered her life by working and doing as much as she could, trying to figure out what lesson she was supposed to learn from it all and teaching us all lessons in the process. Debbi you will be missed and I'm not happy you had to leave us now:( but I am glad your suffering is over. Jim, Erica, Andrew, Fitzpatricks, Flanders, Halls and Cantrells thank you for your part in making her the beautiful lady she was and for loving and caring for her so well these last few months…..you are all in our prayers……

Andrew, Erica and Jim, I am so sorry for your loss. As you know, I knew Debbi for many years through Jennings. I am heartsick to hear she was sick.
She helped raise two of the best children we've ever had. She was such a wonderful mother and I enjoyed her visits.
I am fortunate to have known her, and we are all fortunate that she was here even if only for a short time.
