"Dr. George,"

I am so deeply sadened by the news. I have fond memories of George from his participation in the YMCA basketball/soccer programs. He was a wonderful and respectful young man, and I will think of him often. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Dr. Garrison,

I don't know if you remember me. I worked with the KSU Upward Bound Program for a number of years.

I appreciated all that you did to assist me personally in my endeavors with Upward Bound as well as your support of the Program and its students.

I am sure that words are of little comfort at this time, but I will keep you and your family in my prayers and ask God to send you his peace and strength.

Peace,

George was such an admirable person. He always made me want to be better. I will never forget his wonderful smile and his great sense of humor. It makes me sick to think that I will never again be able to talk to him. I still can't belive this really happened. George was a very sweet, caring, intelligent person and I can't even begin to imagine what his family must be going through. My very deepest sympathies go out to all of you. George I love you, I miss you, and I will never forget you as long as I live.

A father's stories full of pride first brought you to us so many years ago. It seems it was in the blink of an eye that you went from the quiet, reserved boy we first met, into the self-assured, exceptional young man you became. We were blessed to have the opportunity of knowing you and watching you grow. Our tears now flow with many others this day and for family and friends we'll continue to pray. We'll miss you.
