John Sarvis Obituary

John David Sarvis, 59, surrounded by family and the Lord God Jesus, passed on peacefully, March 17, 2021. Born to Chris (deceased) and Helen Sarvis, he was a lifelong resident of Akron, a town he truly loved. John was a 1980 Graduate of Hoban High School, where he excelled in soccer and wrestling. After earning a degree from the University of Akron, founded J David Sarvis Men's Clothiers and in 2001 became owner of Bernadette's Dry Cleaners. John leaves behind his loving wife, Mayette; beloved son, Anthony, who has been the light of his life; brothers, Tom Sarvis and Dan Sarvis wife Barb; sister, Anne Silliman husband Jay; nephews, Andrew Sarvis (Dan) Matthew Maggie and John Michael Silliman; with countless relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St., Fairlawn. Friends and family may call at church before the funeral mass from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St. Fairlawn, OH 44333.
