Jonathan Smithers Obituary
Jonathan Parkhurst Smithers, age 55, of Hudson, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 22, 2014.
He was the beloved husband of Linda (nee Rivera); loving father of Owen and Jackson; beloved son of William Smithers (deceased) and Elizabeth and Roland Redmond; beloved brother of Jim, Sarah, Kelly and Agatha; Jonathan was grateful for each and every day and was dearly loved by many, many friends.
Family will be receiving friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at JOHNSON ROMITO FUNERAL HOME, 19 EAST MAIN STREET, HUDSON, OH 44236. Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora Street, Hudson, Ohio 44236 (330-650-4359)
It is suggested that memorials be made to the Greater Akron Humane Society in Twinsburg. www.Johnsonromito.com

Wish I could have been there the last few days, but my thoughts have been with Jon and his family for the past week. So many great memories of Jon and the Smithers family! Jon reminds me to love life, live each day to the fullest and hold dear the times we have together. As Jeff Cohen said to me about Jon, "Jon was a true friend who never let distance or time between conversations alter his devotion to friendship." RIP old friend.
