Joseph F. Fugo, 89, passed away March 31, 2009.
He was born in Clarksburg, W. Va., and lived most of his life in Akron, Ohio. He retired from B.F. Goodrich after 38 years of service.
Preceded in death by his parents, Giuseppe and Frances Fugo; wife, Rose; daughter, Barbara "Bobbie" Fugo; sister, Annie Malone; brothers, Sam, Louis and Julius Fugo; he will be sadly missed by his daughter, MaryJane (Bob) Phillips; son, Joe Fugo, Jr.; grandchildren, Megan and Robby Phillips, Tiffani Fugo; sisters, Mary Lehosit, Carmella Sirianni; brothers and sisters-in-law, George (Shirley) Fugo, Vincent (Joan) Fugo, Anthony Fugo and Dorothy Fugo; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Special thanks to Absolute Home Health Care, Judy RN., Cindy, Elizabeth and Delores, Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital and Summa Hospice for all of their care and support.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron, with Sister Mercia Madigan officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. (330-376-3032)

Mary Jane, Bob, Joe, family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss. Joe and Rose are now united and with the Lord. They will probably be watching over all of you.
