Joyce Emerick Obituary
Our beloved mother, Joyce E. Emerick, passed away from this world on November 9, 2017.
Joyce was born December 3, 1941 in Uniontown, Pa., the fifth of 13 children born to Asa and Irene Harbarger. Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Gerald F. Emerick; son, Gerald F. Jr.; brothers, Thomas and Larry Harbarger; and sister, Donna Haines.
Surviving Joyce are her sons; Garry (Sue), Gene (Cindy) and Grant (Kim) Emerick; daughters, Joyce Emerick of Akron and Judy (Art) Emerick Trimble of Atlantic Beach, NC; eight sisters and one brother, 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grand
children.
If there is one word that would describe Joyce, it would be "family". There was no better time to be had in Joyce's world than when she was surrounded by her extended family, whether it be a holiday celebration or a simple weekend spent together on the family land in southern Ohio. There were no strangers in
Joyce's home, any and all were welcomed with open arms and an invitation to share a meal and some conversation, usually about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. However, beware those whose stories would elicit laughter from Joyce, as her very distinctive laugh would become unstoppable for her to control until her sides would begin to hurt!
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Jessica and Erica for their loving care of Joyce.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 12 noon at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Raymond Jones officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for two hours prior to the service, from 10 a.m. - 12 noon.

Joyce welcomed us as neighbors back in1997 and we became close friends quickly....she will be missed by the entire Copeland family...sorry for you loss...you'll always be in our thoughts and prayers.
