Kevin Stocker Obituary

Kevin Patrick Stocker, age 49, of Douglasville, Georgia, and formerly of Stow, passed away May 5, 2013, in Wellstar Douglas Hospital where he was taken after becoming ill.

Born March 29, 1964, in Cleveland, he was the son of Virginia L. (nee Feller) Stocker Dorsey of Cuyahoga Falls and Kenneth W. Stocker of New Port Richey, Florida. Kevin attended Stow and Northfield High Schools, graduating from Northfield, and had been employed in the food industry most of his life -- he was an excellent cook.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Deborah L. Stocker of Stow, Kimberly D. Stocker of Mystic, Connecticut; his brothers, Wendall W. (Cindy) Stocker of Bennington, New Hampshire, Lester S. (Dina) Stocker of Covington, Washington, and David L. Stocker of Tallmadge; and his nephew, Jacob Todd Stocker. His stepmother, Barbara Stocker, his stepfather, Kenneth E. Dorsey, and his grandparents, Rolan and Dorothy Feller and Lester Stocker and Velma (nee Hart) Stocker McCue Mason preceded Kevin in death.

Kevin loved all animals, especially his Border Collies and all strays. He enjoyed building model cars and airplanes, as well as working on old machinery. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends in both Ohio and Georgia who dearly loved him.

There are no calling hours. Cremation has taken place. A private committal service will be held in Dover Burial Park. To sign an online guestbook and share a fond memory of Kevin, please visit the Obituaries and Flowers link on the Toland-Herzig website. The family suggests that contributions in Kevin's memory be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
