Kevin Terry Obituary

Kevin J. Terry, living life since April 21,1955, after being at odds with a failing heart, he high-tailed it out of here on April 6, 2011.

He was the loving son to Jim and Georgia Terry; brother to Jon; and uncle to many. He was a loving husband to Pattie for 35 years of laughter. He was the best dad ever to Christopher (Angela) and Sommer (Joshua); Papaw to Mia and Cogan and a great brother-in-law. He was a friend to every single person he met, no really, every person he met. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Keith Virgil, who he is now with and making up for lost time.

There will be an afternoon gathering to celebrate all that he was, on Saturday, April 9th (times in Saturday's paper).

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Our kids grew up together and we all crossed paths many times, in many places. Kevin always had a great outlook and a smile to match. We know he is in a better place now, and hope all these entries and support from many will help ease your loss!

Patty & family,
The Day God Called You Home

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed your tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your children, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.

"In the end the love you take is equal to the love you make." - McCartney/Lennon

Nothing spoken or sung could be truer than these words coupled with Kevin. I'm sure there is no box or bag big enough to carry all of the love that goes with him.

To my beautiful friend of 39 years, thank you so much for all of the wonderful memories, and so much laughter! Laughter until we cried, I will love and miss you forever, and always carry you in my heart. Thank you for being the love of my best friend/sister, always making her happy by just being you. To my friend and sister, remember that not many people had the kind of love you did, and he will really never leave you, you carry him inside. To his wonderful children, I feel your pain, not having gone through this long ago, you are way to young to lose your father, but I know how many great memories you have, and they will carry you through. I love you all so much, sorry I am not with you now. But you know I am always here for you, no matter what you need.
