Larry Michaels Obituary

Lawrence Todd "Larry" Michaels, 62, died after a long illness March 29, 2012 in Washington, D.C.

Born in Akron, he had lived in Washington, D.C. the last eight years. Larry was a graduate of the University of Akron and had been very active with the A.C.L.U. He had worked at Hoover, Price Waterhouse, independently and most recently for FEMA.

Preceded in death by his sister, Lora Jean "Toots" Lepkowski; he is survived by his mother, Ann Lepkowski (Adam Jakuszewski); significant other, Jeanne Etzel; son, Kevin Michaels (Anna); daughter, Kristi Michaels (Sally); sister, Linda Schmida; niece, Lara Schmida; nephew, Michael Schmida (Claudia); and cousin, Sandra Jean Smith.

Services will be held 11 a.m. TUESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home TODAY from 5 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, Disaster Relief Fund, Tributes Button to "Larry Michaels," www.american.redcross.org
