Michael Jeffries Obituary
Michael David Jeffries, 57, of Barberton, Ohio is now pain free from a hard-fought four-year battle with Prostate Metastatic Bone Cancer. Surrounded by family at home Michael transitioned from his life on earth as our hero, to Heaven on May 25th, 2018.
Michael, a 1978 graduate of Barberton High School, retired from PPG Industries after 27 years of service. Michael was a faithful servant and fisher of men at Community Baptist Temple of Akron where he most recently served as a Trustee. Michael was passionate about his church, family, community, and all Barberton Magics sports.
Mourning his passing are his loving wife, Susan (Kamany) and daughter, Montana Rose Jeffries of the home; mother, Dorothy Baker Moses; as well as, adult children, Janae (Jason) Tentler (Claire, Colena), Michael (Stacy) Chisnell, Jr. (Addisun), Michael Jeffries, J., Rachael Jeffries (Anthony), Nathan (Melanie) Chisnell (Thomas, Liam, Dannaka), Allayna (Joshua) Widlits; brother, Frank Moses; In-laws, John (Donna) Kamany, Judy (Gary) Edmunds, Leo Kamany, Jen (Joe) Reakes; Michael was blessed with many loving family and close friends.
All are invited to join us for a celebration of Michael's life at Community Baptist Temple, 1435 Kelly Ave., Akron, Ohio 44306. Calling hours are Tuesday, May 29th from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Visitation at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 30th at the church, Pastor Mark O'Donnell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michael's honor to the Community Baptist Temple.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Mike was One of the most Wonderful people you could ever meet. He was always helping others. And he, Susan and Montana ave not only been our very very special neighbors, but also family. Mike will be deeply missed; but never forgotten, and is now our Special Angel in Heaven. My sincere condolences go out to Mikes Family & they are all in my heart and prayers. I only got to know Mike for a short time at PPG but I knew I liked him right away. I never met a nicer man. Willing to help out at any time. Sorry to see your gone but glad there is no more pain.
