Dear Fran:

Sorry to hear about Mike. My dad called me, and couldn't go as he is frail as well.

My memories of living next door to your mom, dad and Carmen are fond and sincere.

My deepest sympathies to your family. I worked with Mike for many, many years at Summit National Life Insurance. He was a great person, and I had a great amount of respect for him. He was part of a managment team that taught me a lot about the business world, and for that I am grateful. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Becky and I were very saddened to hear about Mike. Though we only had the chance to see him a few times, we were both very impressed with him and liked him very much. We at least had the chance to see him at Sandy's wedding. We will always remember his intelligence, generosity, sense of humor and love of family. God bless Mike and our most sincere condolences to Jean, Sandy and Jeff. We will miss him. I am sorry we cannot attend any services as both of us are out of town.

I was very sad to read about Mr. Granieri's passing. I worked for him for five years at Summit National Life Insurance Company. He was a wonderful man. I remember when he was on his ice water kick - I would fill up his carafe of water 3x a day! He also liked to drink "hot toddies" which was actually Swiss Mocha. He was a great guy to work for. He will be missed.

Mike was an invisible presence at this year's KSU Conference even though he couldn't attend our planning meetings. He tried his darned best to find the missing IMA PD History Boards, secured beautiful IMA world clocks for last year's planning committee members, and was with us in spirit (and on his computer). The Akron chapter of IMA is proud to have Mike as its only member of the "Fifty-Year Club". It was a privilege to have him as a dear IMA/OSCPA friend (and fellow jogger) for 29 years; I'll miss him immensely.
