Nancy Gail Waggamon

), from Salisbury, NC passed away Friday July 30th after losing a short battle with cancer. Nancy's life and experiences have taught her family and friends many lessons throughout her 62 years: A good book can transport you many places. Nancy lived many lives and traveled to a multitude of places, real and imagined, through countless hours of reading. You don't have to be the best at something to enjoy it. Nancy loved going to the golf course with her husband and friends, even if a few balls were lost along the way. Calm seas don't make for a good captain, but they're great for skiing. On sunny days, Nancy could be found skiing, tubing, or swimming at the lake with her family and friends. If you can't find the perfect fit, make it. Nancy was a skilled seamstress, from wedding dresses to upholstery; she enjoyed creating something beautiful for herself and loved ones. Don't allow perceived "norms" to restrict your vision for the future. Nancy graduated from Akron University in 1985 with a Bachelor's of Science in Electronic Technology. Norms being non-technical studies, she with few other women breached the norm and studied a technical field. This led to a career in local prominent companies such as "Goodyear Aerospace", Loral Systems, and Diebold. Most importantly, life's greatest treasure is the people you surround yourself with. Nancy loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was a last minute drinks in the drive with the "hood", another murder mystery party with old friends, or dinner with her family. Nancy is survived by her husband Dennis, children: Kirsten (Seth) and Amanda, siblings: Clark (Mary), Brenda (Bruce), and Lydia (John), and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family. Nancy is reunited with her father and mother, Jacob and Dolly. A private life celebration gathering will be held within the next few weeks.
