Jaime, Elicia,& Bonnie; Adam, Kalyn and Ernie: My heart goes out to you on the loss of your dear mom and grandmother. As a parent and board member I worked with Phyllis on many school related things from 1980 until she left Lippman. She was truly the HEART of the school...when I first called Hillel Academy in 1980 and Phyllis' voice said "How can we help YOU" I knew we were at the right place at the right time dealing with the right person. Phyllis was a true and respected and very much loved friend and coworker. I'LL always treasure the time we worked and learned together. You are all in my thoughts, and I send my love to you. Shalom, Joel

Jaime, Elicia and Bonnie;Adam, Kalyn and Ernie: Our hearts go out to you for the loss of your dear mother and grandmother. She was a lovely and genuine person. Her warmth and bright spirit drew you right to her when you met her. We are grateful we had the opportunity to meet her several times when she was visiting Jaime, Laura and Ernie in Los Angeles. May your treasured memories of the time you shared with your loving mom and grandma soothe the pain of her absence. You all are in our thoughts. Sending our love,

My condolences to the family and friends of Phyllis Klein. I was hired by Phyllis a few years ago to help her maintain her garden at her Fairlawn home, and then at her apartment at Chambrel. She was always so sweet and kind, and I admired her gusto and strong will during her time of illness. I will miss her.

To the Children of dear Phyllis... I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother. I didn't even know that Phyllis was ill or I would have gone to see her. I worked with her at Hillel and later at the new school. My friend and I ran the school library, handled the state funds and ordered school materials and text books for the State of Ohio. We were employed through the Akron Board of Education for Hillel. This all csame to pass because one day she called St. Sebastian school and said she needed help in inventorying materials that were donated to Hillel from St Paul's School. The school was closing in Akron. All the materials were dumped in a room at HIllel..up to the ceiing. My friend Jane and I answered the call for help and we were at Hillel and the new school from that day on. We loved your Mother and spent many happy and sad hours with her over the years there. She always made us feel welcome at the school even though we came from a Catholic school. She was a wonderderful, kind and good soul from God. We heard many stories about you, her children and her late husband over the years. She was so proud of you !!! We cried the day we had to leave..after all those years building the school library from nothing but a few old donated books to the beautiful library it now is. Part of the reason we did it so lovingly was for your Mother who treated us so well. We never would have left but a new principal came on and it was her wish that we not remain. The school existed mostly because of the devotion and love that your Mother gave to it. All the years of running Bingo and she never tired. The children loved her as we did. If it were not for dear Phyllis there would be no school today. I wanted you to know this about your Mother. She will always remain a bright star in our hearts and I will treasure the years we worked together always. Love to you dear Phyllis. I am so very sorry that I did not know of your illness or death sooner. I shall miss you but never, ever forget you......Nelda ( Plummy ) Lyons

I am a Hillel Academy alumni, Class of 1981, and I have the fondest memories of Mrs. Klein as my principal. I almost looked forward to being sent to the office because I enjoyed her company so. My thoughts and prayers are with her MANY close friends and family.

Your mother was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. Even when she was not feeling well she still smiled and gave me hug and kiss whenever she saw me. I will miss her

I spoke to this wonderful woman probably about once or twice a month, but I always looked forward to hearing from her. She made me smile and made my day. I never got the privilage to meeting her, but I could tell how wonderful she was. I work at UBS where she was a client of ours. I will greatly miss talking to her.
