Stephen Comunale Obituary
Stephen was vice president of S.A. Comunale Co. Stephen attended Old Trail School, was a graduate of Walsh Jesuit High School, and received a B.S. in business administration from Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y.
Stephen was loved by his family: Julie Cantley; his parents, Stephen and Jane; sister and brother, Amanda Jane and John Andrew Fawcett Comunale; his grandparents, Henry Fawcett and Gertrude Comunale; his aunts and uncles, Julie and Terry Deane, Ellen and William Tobin, Frank Comunale, Michele Comunale, Martha Comunale, David and Sue Comunale, Milissa and Marco Meyo, Monica and Gregory Stevens, Mark and Kelly Comunale, and Amy and Jeff Klein; his cousins, Mitchell Deane, Molly and Elliot Comunale, Frank, Martha Mary, Elliot and Katherine Meyo, Sarah, Mark and Annabelle Comunale, and Emma and Julia Klein.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at 2 p.m., at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 W. Market St., Akron, Fr. Sam Chiccolini and The Rev. Dr. George N. Inurnment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to a charitable trust established in his memory. This charitable trust will be used to fund cancer research and care for cancer patients. The Stephen A. Comunale Jr. Charitable Trust, Smith Barney, 100 Madison St. Suite 1700, Syracuse, N.Y. 13202.

Steve and Jane,
The sadness is almost unbearable. What a beautiful child your Stephen was. I am so sad that I did not know him better. In my mind he will forever be that beautiful little freckle faced boy.
Though the years go by and we don't see family like I wish we could, please know that this loss has touched me to my core and that my thoughts and prayers are with you every day.

Loosing a family member to cancer is never easy. You have emotions that ofter contradict each other. I lost a family member 5 years ago and it still hurts, but we "see" her often in the most unexpected places like when we do something that she would have liked to be a part of. I remember Stephen as a cute red-haired little boy playing tennis at Towpath Racquet Club. He was always a hard worker and very capable. Steve, Jane, Amanda, John and Julie: You have all been a family to me, and Stephen was the reason for all of that. He brought us together and my life has been enriched because of it. Stephen was my best friend, my brother and a mentor. He taught me many things in life, many of which were summed up in John’s radiant message at the service on Saturday. Much of what I have done in life has been accomplished through lessons I learned from Stephen. And much of what I go on to accomplish in life will be possible because of the great lesson and example Stephen provided to us all in his last year with us. Steve, Jane, Amanda, and John. Thank you for the most unbelievable,nephew. The last 27 years have been more than a gift, but a privilege. May God give you strength. I remember Stephen as a child coming into my office and playing with my calculator. He was a joy as a child and grew up to be one of the finest young men I have ever known.
