Stephen Leiby Obituary
Stephen P. Leiby, 69, died on January 13, 2017 in Akron, Ohio.
He was born on September 27, 1947 to Earl and Jessie Leiby in Oswego, N.Y.
Steve obtained his undergraduate in history from Wright State University and his JD from the Akron School of Law. He practiced law for 42 years, 27 of those with Leiby Hanna Rasnick. He was an active member of the Akron Bar, where he served for a time as chairman of the ethics committee.
Central to his life was his faith in Christ, a faith that was shared with his family, and many of his friends and colleagues.
He is survived by his two children, Stephen and Sarah with husband Brian Musick and their expectant child, and by their mother, Daneen Simms Leiby.
Pastor Jim Colledge will conduct funeral services Friday, 11 a.m. at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Haven of Rest, 175 East Market Street, Akron, OH 44308 or Christian Legal Society, 8001 Braddock Road Suite 302, Springfield, VA 22151. Steve and I were friends in HS and we were active members of Faith Baptist Church in Wheaton MD. We both helped with the construction of the new sanctuary. We were both active in youth activities in the church. Steve was a great friend! RIP!

Steve and I were good friends. He and I helped in the building of Faith Baptist Church in Wheaton MD. We attended and graduated from Wheaton High School in 1965.

We had such good times going to youth meetings in your Corvair. We even helped together with the building of the Faith Baptist Church bldg. in Wheaton MD.

I new Steve from High School and the church his dad pastored. We went out for the football team together. The Leiby family were great people! We both worked on the construction of Faith Baptist Church, Wheaton MD. which his dad pastored. Steve was good friend.
