Jane Galt Obituary

July 28, 1938 - March 27, 2012 ARDMORE Funeral Services for Jane Galt are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday at Saint Philip's Episcopal Church with Father Steve Bilsbury officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta. A family visitation and reception will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 at the Craddock Funeral Home. Jane was born July 28, 1938 in Ardmore to Travis Ivory and Effie Adair Sanders. She passed this life on March 27, 2012 in Ardmore. She and Freeman "Sonny" Galt married August 7, 1965 in Gainesville, TX. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2009. She was a member of Saint Philip's Episcopal Church. She is survived by her daughter Diane Dodson Galt of Connecticut; her son John Travis Galt and his wife Hadley of Dallas; her sister Cynthia Weldon of Ardmore; her grandchildren Mary Jane Galt and Margeaux Galt of Dallas; and several cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Arvell Pickens, Royce Hammons, Wayne Laske, Charles Pierce, James Clark, and Dr. Jack Holmes. Honorary bearers will be Buddy Reisen, Bud Sisson, Rick Simms and Bob Kerr. The family would like to express their thanks to all of the caregivers that helped with Jane over the years.
