Rydl, Dale Edwin

May 25, 1929 - August 20, 2021

Born on a farm north of Alamo, TX on May 25, 1929. Attended school in Donna, TX and graduated in 1947. After graduation he worked with the family during wheat harvest in Oakley, KS and then with the Texas Department of Agriculture Fruit Fly Program in Alamo before joining the United States Air Force in 1950 and retired as Master Sergeant with 26 years of service in 1976. After retiring he worked at both the SAC and Sarpy County Historical museums in Bellevue, NE.

Married Marian Virginia Dennis on June 28, 1953 in Wellston, OH, who preceded him in death in October 2015. Survived by children: Paul (Mary), Todd (Joanne), and Teri; and grandchildren: Phillip and Matthew (Paul), Zachary, Jacob, and favorite granddaughter, Lauryn (Todd); sister, Rose Cohrs; brothers, Glen and Lester Rydl; sister-in-law, Lillie Rydl; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss his sense of humor. Preceded in death by parents, Clarence F. and Blanche Rydl; sisters, Helen Rydl and Mary Selcer; brothers, Charles and Ralph; and sister-in-law, Judith George.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE 11am Thursday, September 9th, at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd, Omaha NE. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the National Coalition of Homeless Veterans (nchv.org).
