Mike,

I was also a classmate of Deanne's. Although we never traveled in the same social or academic circles, we spent three years together on the Drill Team. Deanne was voted Captain our senior year; a title well deserved. Some great moments were had "kicking it up" in the gymnasium during basketball half-times.

I too remember her infectious laugh, effervescent smile and signature long hair. She looked as beautiful as I remember her in high school.

My condolences go out to you and your family. May you find comfort in our memories as well as yours.

Mike,

I was lucky enough to be the nuclear scanning girl at St. E's when Deanne was first battling her illness. Few people stand out in my memory, but you and Deanne did stand out...your love of each other, love of others and enthusiasm for life was inspirational. I am sorry for your tremendous loss, but how lucky to have had her at all in your life. I feel fortunate to have met both you and Deanne.

May God bless you and all who will miss her so intensely.

I will pray for you and Deanne.

I will never forget the first time I met Deanne. She came to the basement of Cathedral to help me on Saturday before the Art Show that I chaired in 2001. I was so amazed and grateful for this angel that I did not even know and that she would be so considerate to come help. My husband Patrick was there also and we both came to admire the wonderful spirit, generosity and sweet person that was Deanne. We had a lot of fun that week and it seemed whenever I needed someone, she was always there.

We ran into her so many times at church, praying the rosary at the abortion clinic, always helping when she could and she was always such an inspiration to us. I know she is continuing to inspire all that she will touch in heaven with her devotion to her faith and our Lord.

I am so happy that I had the opportunity to know Deanne even if it was for a short time. I will never forget her and will continue to pray for her. I was at my 5:00 am hour of Adoration on Sunday and was thinking about her and praying for her so I know that God was with both of us during that time.

Deanne, may your sweet spirit continue to bless all of us.

Dear Mike,

I knew and loved Deanne as we shared our faith in Bible study. I have moved to Ohio but occasionally she would send inspirational e-mails. They always came at the time when I needed a lift. I will remember Deanne for her deep faith, beautiful smile and determined spirit. Knowing Deanne's love for Saint Faustina, I have prayed a chaplet of Divine Mercy for her. I am sorry for your great loss.

Mike, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I remember running the Lincoln Half Marathon with Deanne and the many years of camaraderie as a coworker. I think of her enormously sensitive spirit that wanted the best for all her clients and friends. I recall her joy in her relationship with you.
