Dorothy Marie Timmons was born February 26, 1926, in Valparaiso, NE, to Conrad and Emma Heiser.

She died January 12, 2025, in Omaha.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Norman Timmons and Rita (Edward) Piner; her grandchildren, Andrew, Eric, Kimberly and Trenna; her great-grandchildren, Teegan, Jacob and Haley; and by her siblings, Marilyn Landwer and Glenn Heiser.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Claudi "Oscar" Timmons; her siblings, Margaret, Lucille, Evelyn, Phyllis and Harold; and by her parents.

VISITATION: Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler Mortuaries, 7805 West Center Rd., Omaha, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. INTERMENT: Voss Mohr Cemetery.

Dorothy was head librarian for the Millard Public Library. Way back when, the library was housed in a little former school classroom building - one of four such houses near downtown Millard. I was very lucky to have worked with her there. We were able to stay in touch for many years since then. She was not only my boss, but also my friend.
