Henry Gentle, adored husband, son, brother, and father-to-be, passed away unexpectedly due to unknown causes at his home in San Jose on October 2nd. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Henry grew up camping, riding bikes, and Highpointing with his family.

Henry survived the Little Sioux Scout Ranch tornado, completed a Philmont backcountry High Adventure, and became an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Central High School in Omaha and from the University of Missouri in Columbia, where he was active in AASB, Delta Sigma Phi, the Mizzou cycling team, and Big Tree Cycling. Henry loved to introduce fellow riders to Big Tree and the Pedaler's Jamboree on the Katy Trail and to the highways of Iowa with his Team Angry family on RAGBRAI.

In college, Henry met his soulmate Olivia Keesaer. In October 2023, they married in Los Gatos, surrounded by family and friends. In addition to building a career following his passions in solar energy and EV technology, Henry taught spin classes where he was known for his love of music and his upbeat, compassionate encouragement of others. He was excitedly anticipating becoming a father in the spring.

Henry is survived by his family, whom he loved fiercely: beloved wife Olivia, mother Ann, sister Valeri Serket, brother Amber, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, the Keesaer family who welcomed him with their whole hearts, and many loving friends. The family will invite all to celebrate Henry's life in Omaha at a later date.

Should anyone wish to make a memorial donation, the family suggests American Red Cross Disaster Relief, which provided Henry purpose and meaning following the Little Sioux tornado tragedy, Community Bike Shop of Omaha, or KIOS Omaha's NPR station.
