mr. kaiman was a giant in the law, and as a person. when i was a baby lawyer, and didn't know much about the law or how to practice it, he on a couple of occasions, went out of his way to provide guidance - which was appreciated. he, along with many others, were good examples of how we can be on opposite sides yet still be civil, even friendly - good lessons to learn. if he treated me, a stranger basically, well, i can only imagine what a wonderful family man he must have been.

To The Kaiman Family
I met Mr. Kaiman through our mutual friend Ed Hasenjager when I was Ed's secretary back in the 80's. Howard was a very close friend to Eddie and I grew to love him too. I really hadn't seen Mr. Kaiman much since then, but Ed would always talk about him to me. Mr. Kaiman was very kind and very good at his profession. I loved and respected him very much. He is now with Eddie and at rest. He will be missed. His family was blessed to have him so long in their lives.
My love and healing to the family .

I have fond memories as a young lawyer in the 1980s drinking coffee and listening while Howard and the other prominent lawyers shared stories at Northrop Jones. His humor and interest in other people was notable. Many of the older lawyers were quite the characters back then, and Howard was always able to bring out the best part of the stories with his comments and smile. Those were the days my friend, and it was wonderful to share that era with you.

I met Howard 2 years ago. He was part of a widow/widower group of friends that met at Runza and Bagel Bin weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. Howard was a kind, compassionate, gentle soul and was loved by all that were fortunate enough to know him. He was fun and witty and kept our conversations very interesting. He was very knowledgeable on many subjects. It was a pleasure spending time with Howard and he will be greatly missed by our little group. Rest in peace my friend.
